Truly Free Center is a ministry dedicated to reaching those who struggle with addictions through the truth of God's word. We are located in the beautiful countryside of Chile in the Maule Region.

The program
Nestled in the country, far from the stresses, distractions and demands of our busy world, where no sounds are heard besides the wind in the trees and the silence of God's creation, the weary heart can come and get alone with God. Our one to two year program is designed as a discipleship training for those who struggle with addictions. Through daily Bible teaching, prayer and devotionals young men can begin to grow in their faith and walk with God as He restores, heals and transforms their heart. Each aspect of the program is specifically designed to address the changes that need to take place after a lifetime of sin, incorrect thought patterns and self-destructive behavior. In addition to the Bible, we teach practical life skills such as gardening, cooking, carpentry, farming, etc., to prepare the individual for a fulfilling and meaningful future. Our program addresses physical, spiritual and emotional needs that we hope will impact countless lives for eternity. John 8:36 - "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."
TRULY FREE CENTER HISTORY
God called the Ladino family to start this specific mission in 2016. In December 2017, they arrived in Chile with a vision and a burden to start the discipleship center and reach the Chilean people. The Lord miraculously provided a property for the ministry in 2018.
MATIAS' TESTIMONY
Raised on the streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina, by the age of eleven, Matias was already using drugs, alcohol and pills. He had much pain in his heart from his dad who abandoned he, his five siblings and his mom. A pastor showed him the love of Christ and visited him on many occasions. One day, when he realized that his life was empty and that nothing could satisfy, he went to see the pastor who then sent him to a Christian discipleship center in Cordoba, Argentina that was started by Word of Life. There in March of 2005, Matias accepted Christ as Savior. That day, he was wrestling with God and there was a verse on the wall that said, "Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed" John 8:36. Matias prayed to God and he said, "God, I've never been free, make me free." He repented of his sins and God made him a new creation.
A NEW START
After that, he went to study the Bible for three years at Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina. There he met his wife Kristen, who had come from the US to study the Bible and Spanish, and who also had the desire to serve God. The two were married in 2009. After nine years living the US and with one daughter, God called them to the mission field to start the discipleship center in Chile.
IN CHILE
Once in Chile in 2017, the Ladino family started looking at properties for purchase. Land is expensive in Chile and with no specific budget aside from some limited savings they stumbled upon the property through an online marketplace. The real estate agent was a Christian man who showed them many properties. God miraculously led them to the perfect location and for the exact amount that they had in their ministry savings. Risking it all, they trusted God's leading and purchased the property in October 2018.
AT THE PROPERTY
Once the property was purchased they began to build little by little, first a small cabin, then their house and finally a guest cabin to host various groups who come to stay. The property did not have electric, septic, running water or any infrastructure to speak of. Everything was build from the ground up and with the help of volunteers and young men who had come for discipleship.
